National Girl Child Day is a reminder of the importance of nurturing, educating, and empowering young girls so that they get equal opportunities to thrive in all walks of life. This day holds special significance because it highlights the plight of girls, especially in marginalized communities, and spurs action toward gender equality.
We at Enactus believe that sustainable solutions will make all the difference. In this endeavor, our initiative, Project Shrimati, focuses on the empowerment of young girls by offering eco-friendly menstrual hygiene products. Thus, while making a call for health and hygiene, we also make it easier for them to be at school with dignity, confidence, and prospects for their future.
Moreover, through donation drives, we are able to reach out to even more girls in need with material support as well as with educational resources. We realize that it is not only a question of giving the girls material sources of support but also an environment to make them feel valued and supported to pursue their dreams.
